Wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mrs. Martha Emmanuel was one of the Southern Governors wives received today by Coss River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade at Government House, Calabar.
Addressing the first ladies, Governor Ayade described the Forum as a social platform for proper integration of the Southern States and the country in general.
According to him, the lofty programmes of the first ladies, irrespective of party affiliations, has demonstrated their avowed commitment towards breaking barriers of poverty in the region.
He commended the wives of Governors for supporting their husbands, by initiating empowerment and welfare programmes to the less privileged in their different States.
