CAF Confederation Cup: Akwa Utd to battle Al Hilal

Akwa United Football Club of Nigeria will engage Al Hilal of Sudan in the playoff round of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup competition next month.

At the draw ceremony in CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, 2017 Aiteo Cup winner were drawn against Sudanese side Al Hilal.

The Promise Keepers will play the first leg away in Sudan between 6-8 of April while the return leg will be played at the Godswill Akpabio international Stadium in Uyo between 17-18 of April.

Akwa United defeated Hawks of Gambia 3-2 on aggregate to advance to the second knockout round where they sent Al-Ittihad of Libya out of the competition with a 4-3 aggregate victory.

The winner of the two legged contest will progress to the money spinning group stage of the competition.
