WHY PDP WILL RECLAIM POWER IN 2019 –  Nat’l Legal Adviser

The newly inaugurated National Legal Adviser of the PDP, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem has revealed that his party, the PDP is repositioned to take back power from the APC come 2019, noting that the new PDP is united and strategic to deal with all forms of opposition.

Barr Enoidem who spoke on Channels Television hinted that the PDP is determined and ready to take back power in 2019, restating the resolve of the new executive headed by Prince Uche Secondus to building a united and stronger PDP.

"On the issue of how we are going to take over power in 2019, it is very simple you will know that the APC has lost touch with the people, all the promises that the APC made to Nigerians none of them has been fulfilled"

"So I believe that now that Nigerians have tested another kind of power in 2 and half years, and APC has failed them, they are now waiting, they are now positioning themselves to have a return to PDP," he said.

"The chairman has given a command that we should go back and rebuild the party from the nooks and crannies of this country, get every member of the party that was out to be in fully, ensure that there is harmony in the party from the unit to the wards, from the local government to the zonal office from the zonal office to the state office to the national secretariat."

"So the agenda of the newly elected national working commission of the party is to reposition the party to regain power in 2019, that's our agenda and we shall not miss that agenda."

Speaking on the subject that some members of the public were aggrieved about the outcome of the election, Barr Enoidem noted that the party is doing all in its power to accommodate all former aspirants, even those who were aggrieved.

"There can be no election in this country where somebody contest election and lost and did not complain except the 2015 election that the PDP lost to the APC. That was the only time in this country that someone lost election in this country and did not complain."

He furthered that, the convention was an internal business of the party where all members must adhere, knowing that it is not the main priority of the party.

"As we speak the leaders of the party at different levels are making contact with anybody that felt aggrieved by the Saturday's election."

He said the party's priority was the 2019 election as such, "members of PDP should rise above whatever happened so that we can position ourselves to reclaim our position at the helms of affairs of the country."

Barr Enoidem noted that all regions of the country are fully represented in the newly constituted executive and there is no cause for alarm from some persons in the south-west who are crying foul. He said the strategy of the PDP to beat the APC is already set in motion and results are sure to follow.
